Do not anchor low
Billing a big deal as a cheap monthly validation can feel easier and still trap you. Protect the phase-two price in the agreement and expand from a commercial baseline.
When to stop piloting
Hardware and proven products eventually do fewer pilots. Once the motion is proven, nurture case-study shoppers and spend cycles on buyers who will go first and help publish the win.
